Discover Dunedin

A charming Scottish-heritage town on the Gulf Coast — where craft breweries, island beaches, and miles of trail meet a walkable downtown unlike anywhere else in Florida.

Scottish Roots, Florida Soul

The Oldest Town in Pinellas County

Founded by Scottish settlers in the 1800s, Dunedin is the oldest town in Pinellas County and still wears its heritage proudly — from the annual Highland Games to the street names that echo the old country. But this is no living museum. Dunedin has evolved into one of the Gulf Coast's most vibrant small towns.

The craft brewery scene here is legendary. Dunedin Brewery — Florida's oldest craft brewery — anchors a district that includes 7venth Sun and a growing roster of taprooms, all within walking distance of Main Street. Speaking of Main Street, it's one of the most walkable downtowns in the state, lined with independent shops, galleries, and restaurants that reward exploration.

Just north of town, Honeymoon Island State Park offers pristine Gulf beaches and nature trails through virgin slash pine forest. The Pinellas Trail runs right through the heart of downtown, connecting cyclists and joggers to communities up and down the county. And every spring, the Toronto Blue Jays set up camp here for spring training at TD Ballpark. Dunedin is about 15 minutes from our lot on Ulmerton Road — an easy drive to an unforgettable destination.
